Commissions

Customize your own island portal,

Let’s work together to create your one-of-a-kind piece! Commissions are not limited to island pieces - if it can be thought of, it can be painted!

No frame? No problem.

Each piece is carefully “gallery-wrapped” which continues the painting around the edges of the canvas.

About the Artist

Aloha! What do you find beautiful about the Hawaiian islands? I am inspired by the vivid aqua hues of the Pacific Ocean that can be seen from the tops of the Ko’olaus on O’ahu. This is why each puka ʻāina piece is centered in cerulean ocean currents. I try to capture the spirit and natural beauty of each island and most of the scenes that I paint are inspired by my life experiences here in Hawai’i. All original pieces are hand-painted with love and I mount every single print with great care, giving this collection and its collateral the definition of “homemade.”

I began fully pursuing my artistic passion in 2024. It wasn’t an easy decision to take a break from my technical career, but I did so that I could follow my dreams and create a foundation for these artworks. I put my heart into it and as a result puka ʻāina reached a huge milestone at the end of 2024: being put up in its first gallery! I am joyfully creating pieces and growing my art business. This is my way of honoring and sharing the divine spirit of Hawai’i.

If you are visiting, enjoy your stay here in this special place. If you are kamaʻāina or new to living here, I hope to see you on the trails or at Lokahi Kailua Market! For art content to brighten up your feed, follow me @pukaaina on Instagram!
